Half Life 2 Episode 2 Review and Random Game stuff.

So I am a fan of games leaving room for sequels; but man did this one make you want to keep playing! I enjoyed most of the game, as I have previously with Half Life, Half Life 2, Half Life 2 episode 1 and the other blue something or other they came out with. But this is truly the first one that has made me want to find the episode 3 game and play it right away! It was that good of an ending, or so I think.

The game has some puzzles that were fun to solve, but it could of been harder and more frequent. The longest puzzle took me only a few minutes to solve, but I didnt get all the achievements yet but that wasnt my goal.

After dusting this game off I finally played TFC Source. I will have to play it some more to see if I actually like it, but first impression is that it is very cartoonish. Not sure why it is this cartoonish but TFC Classic wasnt this bad from what I remember so I may have to reinstall to refresh my memory. Or I can say screw it and just play Counter Strike 1.6 /source again.

On a lighter note - My nephew and I beat Halo 3 on Legendary with some help online in less than 6 hours, even though we were TK'ng ourselves for no apparent reason. We did get all the skulls, but didnt hit the stupid terminals. I also have found out he isnt that bad at video games anymore. Where I used to be able to mele him pretty easily and without much of a challenge he actually has some skills. Just imagine if he could play more often :-) He needs to practice the Guitar Hero 2 stuff a bit more but thats another story.

Christmas 2007 and Happy New Year 2008

Well Christmas came and went again, lots of toys for the kiddos and some new clothes for me :-) My wife got a nice new diamond pendant, thanks for the hook up frank, Santa didnt bring me my motorcycle this year so I guess I have to be better next year :-)

However I did get the money for my CCW class I will take hopefully at the end of January. Other than the nice day off I got, I had a pretty nice quiet week at work for Christmas. Got a lot of projects done :-) I even took down the Christmas lights new years day, since I was home and not at glamis :-), so thats pretty good.

My wife decided to try and cook a turkey for us new years week and we enjoyed it! She did a great job of cooking all day and I did a decent job of staying out of her way until she needed me to do something :-).

Well it is now 2008 and I gotta get back to school work soon. I only have a bit over a year and I will be done :-)

First Glamis trip is scheduled already for the 19th! Cant wait :-)

And another random thought - I added my XBOX 360 Gamer Tag on my nav bar... so you can all look at my silly achievements for the 360 :-)
