Great Article on F-secure

So I was doing some research on current Virus threats for my IT class for the University of Phoenix (Axia College) required daily question. I was doing my normal searches for the current virus status etc etc from Sans and F-secure and others when this article caught my attention.

http://www.f-secure.com/weblog/archives/00001398.html

The article basically states how most people are able to block the "Phishing" attempts because it is malicious code over HTTP (port 80) and now they are using FTP which most people do not monitor / block malicious content within businesses.

The part that is interesting, to me, is how it actually holds true because most businesses allow port 21 (FTP) to go out to the internet without even checking the content and payload of the traffic to ensure it is not malicious.

Its just something that makes you go hmmm...
